Torrenueva now has two prestigious locations to dine. Firstly there is th El Oceano Beach and Spa Hotel. This is located only 2 minutes walk from the apartments of Ocean Point and Las Golondrinas. Here you will find fine dining at its best, in one of the most picturesque locations on the Costa del Sol. They have a popular Sunday afternoon lunch and live music adjacent to the pool and gardens on the waters edge as well as Full moon suppers and live music and dancing.

There is als the Vitania Beach club and Spa with Avanto Restaurant offering a tantilizing modern cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere overlooking the mediteranean. There is also the Spa facilities as well as pool and pool bar. Avanto is open from 9am til 11am Tuesday-Sunday. 

With these two locations either side of the apartments, Las Golondrinas and Ocean Point, are prime locations for your next holiday. They are also walking distance to the local village La Cala de Mijas. Take a morning stroll into the village either by walking along the beach or a private road, to buy fresh bread from any number of bakeries, or take a walk to the wednesday / saturday market to buy fresh fruit and vegetables.

The Last week of July is one of the most popular weeks as La Cala de Mijas holds its annual festival, the "La Cala Feria" a summer fair celebrating the summer season, with a week long fair, carnival parades and dancing as well as seafood festivals and often music on the beach. This is a spectacular introduction to the festivals and food of the Andalucian province.

Torrenueva Playa is also popular with International Tourism as it is an attractive location with many additional themes such as relaxed enviroment, located on Mijas Costa, the coastal road  almost half way between Marbella and Fuengirola. A car is not necessary as the local bus routes are situated only 2 minutes walk from the apartments. The 220 or 19 bus service takes you to all locations towards either Marbella or Fuengirola

There are many excursions that can be booked along the Costa del Sol. It is not only the beach that is the attraction, as now Malaga is a city with much culture galleries, museums, and bullrings.

In Fuengirola the old bullring has recently been refurbished to its old former glory. Before you judge the art of Bullfighting it is worth attending a show to experience the roots of Spanish culture.

In Malaga, the home of Picasso brought the artistic flair to its shores. You can experience the mind of the artist by veiwing his exhibitions of work, taking a walk around the city or hop on a city tour bus which will give you a guided tour of the City.

Along the costa del Sol there are many seaside towns and sights to see, one of which is Puerto Banus in Marbella, famous for its world class yachts sports cars and designer boutiques

Other popular places to visit include the town of Mijas perched half way up the mountain at the back drop of the apartments located on the scenic coastline of the mediteranean. Here you can walk around the white washed village , take a ride on a donkey, visit one of the oldest churches, attend one of the plays or conserts held in the out door theatre, attend one of the bullfights, or explore the village shops through the narrow steep cobbled streets that still retain its unique charm-

If you are looking to visit a village without the touristic trinket shops and want to avoid mainstream tourism, then take a short drive inland to either Istan which has fresh drinkable water running down from the mountains, through the village and into the main resevoir Istan Lake. This is one of the Costa del Sols secrets. There are also many mountain trails, if you are interested in wildlife and mountain walking. Other villages of interest include Monda, Coin and Alozaina.

Other towns that are worth visiting are Benalmadena, which has sealife Benalmadena Port where you can hire a catermeran and sail along the coastline for a birthday/anniversay celebration, dining at the waters edge and admire the many yachts from around the world, or just people watch while soaking up the warm sunshine. Benalmadena also has an amusement park for all the family called Tivoli world where during the summer months is host to many markets and pop conserts. Benalmadenas 24 hour square is a popular location for the young teenagers while the bars and clubs in the port of Benalmadena or Puerto Banus are more attractive to the adult population.

Torremolinos is known for its nightlife, mainly for the Gay and Lesbian society. Torremolinos has been one of the fore runners in Gay Lifestyle and is one of the most popular destinations in southern Europe. If staying at Las Golondrinas or Ocean Point, there are naturist and gay beaches at El Faro and Cabopino as well as within Torremolinos itself. All properties that are listed with Inmobiliaria Atlantis PMR are Gay Friendly.

The Costa del Sol is also host to many international events, conserts, and Exhibitions, however the Golf Courses offer many golfers a challenging play on the course. Torrenueva Playa has one of the best beaches and has been awarded one of the few Blue flags for its beaches on the Costa del Sol. It is perched on the outskirts of the sleepy fishing village La Cala de Mijas, which is now more vibrant as it now attracts international tourism hosting many festivals and events all year round as well as 2 weeks markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
